The Wells Foundation Inc assist young women with children between the ages of 18-25 alongside other agencies to help prevent homelessness in New York City. The current economic crisis increases the likelihood of homelessness among young women with children residing in the NYC area. The Wells foundation will provide resources and strategies to help transition these young mothers and help them develop the life skills they need to become self-sufficient and live independently. The Wells Foundation will provide a temporary safe and secured living environment for young mothers and their children. As part of the program curriculum parenting classes would be completed to assist with everyday engagements with their children. The Wells Foundation will provide aid to help young mothers deal with their inner issues and help build self-confidence to encourage motivation. Education services will be provided and is a mandatory participation as part of the program curriculum. Childcare service will be provided to our residents children to enable them the flexibility to pursue these activities daily. The Wells Foundation Inc intends to help young mothers set the platform for a sustainable and prosperous future for not just themselves but their children over time.
